Olivier Bardin came up with a small digital retrospective for the #dayafterday program, revealing the tracks of six pieces produced between 1995 and 2008, which can be found in the monograph EXHIBITIONS (MIX editions, 2011). “In almost all of my proposals lies the question of distance, limits, barriers and of the type of relationship that it invents. I think these questions of distance are fairly topical. All this is linked to our survival. This work was born at the beginning of the 90s, in a context of reinvention of the places where art works appeared, but also partly under the influence of the new distances of body exposure that AIDS imposed back then and which had to be invented.
