It is within the Paper Tube Studio (PTS) that the Centre Pompidou-Metz was conceived and designed by Shigeru Ban and Jean de Gastines. Created for this purpose by the two architects, it was installed on the roofs of the Centre Pompidou in Paris from 2004 to 2009. Located in the South Garden of the Centre Pompidou-Metz since 2020, it is accessible to the public as a library, in collaboration with the Bibliothèques-Médiathèques de Metz. Today, it is a place of reflection and creation, hosting collaborative workshops imagined with artists from all over the world: I (1966/2021) by Yoko Ono, I by Sébastien Thiéry (PEROU), Marc Van Peteghem and Marc Ferrand and, from December 2021, a new proposal by the Campana brothers.

Since 1983, Brazilian brothers Humberto and Fernando Campana (born in 1953 and 1961) are recognized for their disruptive approach to design. Their creative process raises everyday materials to nobility, combining vibrant colors, textures, and creative chaos, unveiling the triumph of simple solutions, artistically and poetically. Based in São Paulo, studio Campana often collaborates with local artisans, communities, and global brands, with strong ethical and sustainable concerns. Their artworks are part of the permanent collections of institutions such as MoMA New York, Centre Pompidou, and Vitra Design Museum.
