As a temporary structure located next to the worksite, the Maison du Projet was designed by the same architects who designed the Centre Pompidou-Metz, Shigeru Ban and Jean de Gastines. The project showcase opened its doors in June 2006 and closed in 2009. For over three years, the Maison du Projet served as a unique platform, highlighting the future Centre Pompidou-Metz. Visitors were able to discover the architectural and cultural project via a wide range of mediums including texts, pictures, drawings, 3D imaging, multimedia devices, models, material samples, etc. Both the inside exhibition space (136m2) as well as the observation deck outside provided the perfect place to discover and follow the building’s construction over time.
