Special spaces are dedicated to our workshops that combine “meet the artist” and creative activities to provide a fun and interesting approach to contemporary art for our younger visitors. The Centre Pompidou-Metz develops innovative programmes adapted to children aged 5 to 10 and teenagers aged 11 to 18.

Artistes, young talents as well as more renowned creators are invited on a regular basis to take over the three spaces devoted to our youth programmes. What’s the idea behind this? Ever more interactive creations with emphasis on expression and exchange.

A fun and slightly crazy vision of the museum, a fresh new look on our world and alternative teaching models are on the programme of artistic discovery. Our dynamic and creative youth guides are specialised in the arts. Our young visitors are exposed to various forms of contemporary creation. From chewing-gum sculpture to video games and silk screening techniques on crêpes, numerous media and artefacts produced by our society are used and reworked to encourage creativity in participating kids and teens.
